Serene Travel & Tours

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before booking any travel service with Serene Travel and Tours. By making a reservation with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.


Booking & Confirmation
  • All bookings must be made through our official website, by email, or via an authorized representative.
  • A booking is considered confirmed only after full or partial payment is received (as specified) and a confirmation email has been issued.
  • It is your responsibility to provide accurate information during the booking process (e.g., name, contact, passport details, etc.).
Prices & Payments
  • All prices are quoted in [USD] and are subject to availability and change without prior notice.
  • Prices may fluctuate due to changes in currency exchange rates.
  • Full payment or a deposit (as advised) is required to secure your booking.
  • We accept major debit/credit cards through secure online STRIPE payment systems.
Cancellations & Refunds

By the Customer:

  • Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
  • Cancellation fees may apply depending on the service and time of cancellation.
  • Some services may have stricter cancellation policies (e.g., excursions like diving, some guesthouse stays). Non-refundable or partially refundable conditions will be clearly communicated to you before confirming the booking.

Tours and Packages

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the tour date: Eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable processing or booking fees.
  • Cancellations made 7–14 days before the tour date: 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour date or no-shows: No refund.

Hotel & Transfer Bookings

  • Refunds are subject to the cancellation policies of the hotel or transport provider. We will advise you of these details at the time of booking.
  • Some bookings may be non-refundable or partially refundable depending on the provider’s terms.

Special Activities (e.g., Diving, Excursions, Day Trips)

  • These may be non-refundable due to limited availability or advance payment requirements to third-party providers.
  • We will inform you at the time of booking if a service is non-refundable.

By Serene Travel and Tours:

  • We reserve the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
  • We are not responsible for cancellations caused by third parties (e.g., airlines, hotels, weather conditions, or natural disasters), but we will assist with rescheduling or refund processing where possible.
Changes & Modifications
  • If you wish to make changes to your confirmed booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
  • While we will do our best to accommodate changes, they may be subject to availability and additional charges.
  • In the event of schedule changes by suppliers (e.g., guesthouse stays), we will inform you promptly and help coordinate any necessary adjustments.
Travel Documents & Requirements
  • You are responsible for ensuring that you have valid passports, visas, and any required health or travel documents for your destination.
  • Serene Travel and Tours is not responsible for denied boarding or entry due to missing or incorrect travel documents.
Travel Insurance
  • We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical expenses, delays, lost baggage, and other travel-related risks.
  • Serene Travel and Tours does not provide insurance and is not liable for any losses incurred due to lack of coverage.
Customer Responsibilities
  • You must follow all local laws, customs, and travel regulations at your destination.
  • You are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly during the trip. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate participation for any individual whose conduct is disruptive or unsafe.
Liability & Disclaimer
  • Serene Travel and Tours acts only as an agent for third-party service providers such as hotels, and transport companies. We are not liable for their acts, errors, or omissions.
  • We are not responsible for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., force majeure events such as weather, strikes, pandemics, or natural disasters).
Use of Our Website
  • You agree not to misuse the website, including attempting to gain unauthorized access, distribute harmful content, or disrupt the website’s functionality.
  • All content on the website is owned or licensed by Serene Travel and Tours and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Governing Law
  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Maldives.
  • Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maldivian courts.
